Things to Do

The Snowpine Lodge is is located in the Wasatch Mountains in Alta, UT at an elevation of 8500 feet. There is hiking, biking and climbing right outside the lodge! You can also just relax at the lodge and enjoy the stunning view!

Summer Scenic Tram Rides

Also located in Little Cottonwood Canyon, Snowbird is one mile down canyon from Snowpine Lodge and Alta Ski Area. Take the complimentary guest shuttle down at any time and enjoy everything Snowbird has to offer (listed below):


Summer Scenic Tram Rides – Travel to the summit of Hidden Peak (10,992 ft) and enjoy 360 degrees of breath-taking views.

Alpine Slide – Enjoy twists, turns and tunnels as the Alpine Slide winds down the mountain.

Mountain Coaster – Enjoy 3,120 feet of twists, turns, screams and shouts as gravity takes you down the mountain.

Woodward WreckTangle – Use skill, strength, creativity and determination to complete this ninja obstacle challenge for both kids and adults.

Preuvian Chairlift – The open-air Peruvian chairlift transports sightseers over 2,400 vertical feet where stunning views and wildlife sightings await.

Summer Tubing – Have fun on this warm weather version of snow tubing.

Hiking Little Cottonwood Canyon

Lisa Falls – A short, kid-friendly trail where the whole family can enjoy waterfall views. .3 miles (easy)


Gloria Falls – This family-friendly hike shares a trailhead with both Red Pine Lake and White Pine Lake, featuring rewarding waterfalls at the end. 2.2 miles (easy)


Albion Meadows – A beautiful hike and a must-see during wildflower season in mid-late July. 3.6 miles (easy)


Little Cottonwood Trail – A wide trail that starts at the mouth of the Little Cottonwood Canyon and follows a river. 5.4 miles (easy)


Catherine Pass – This trail includes views of the Brighton Lakes Trail, Lake Catherine, and Sunset Peak. 3 miles (moderate)


Twin Lakes Pass – The trail to Twin Lakes Pass is conveniently located near the Snowpine Lodge. Find views of lakes here. 5.2 miles (moderate)


The hikes are beautiful but please make sure you prepare for the outdoors. Bring appropriate clothing and hiking shoes and lots of water.
